The goal of the Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers classroom course is to equip a wide range of healthcare professionals with the skills necessary to recognize various life-threatening emergencies, perform CPR, utilize an AED, and alleviate choking in a secure, fast, and efficient manner.
- Overview of BLS for healthcare providers Cincinnati
Including
practice and testing, it lasts for about 4.5 hours. According to 2021
guidelines, it has been demonstrated that the BLS course is the key to
resuscitation. The training is video-enhanced and intended to give rescuers the
knowledge and skills necessary to recognize and respond to a variety of
life-threatening situations, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, utilize an
AED, and alleviate choking in a secure, fast, and efficient manner.
- Who can attend?
It
is intended for medical personnel who must be able to perform CPR and other
life-saving techniques in a variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital
circumstances.
Being
employed as a healthcare provider or preparing to work in the healthcare sector
is a prerequisite.
- Renewal course
The
Renewal course is a quick-paced course that gives seasoned BLS providers—those
who are confident in their abilities from routine use in their work in the ED,
CCU, or ICU on a code team, or paramedics and first responders—the chance to
demonstrate their understanding through written and skills assessments in a
focused program. Students can renew their Basic Life Support course completion
card by completing this two hours, fifteen-minute course (approximately).
- Prerequisites
Each
participant is required to be a very skilled BLS provider. Students who don't pass
the knowledge or skill test will need to take the entire course; this is not an
introductory course. Individuals who don't meet the requirements should sign up
for the BLS for Healthcare Providers
Initial Provider Class.
